I recently had the pleasure of attending a benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Having done battle with cancer, it was important that I show up even for a little bit to show support (and for the wine). The event was held at Capitale, located at 130 Bowery in Manhattan. After passing coat check, taking the obligatory selfie, and grabbing a white carnation I stepped foot into the grand hall. It was my first time in Capitale… and trust me it didn’t disappoint.
The view was breathtaking! Looking out at the room all you could see was a sea of suited/gowned people sipping champagne, up again rose colored walls with intricate designs. The crowd was very mixed. A few of the local hip elite, news anchors, small time celebrities, supporters, corporate executives, and athletes were in attendance. The event lasted two short hours and climaxed with a short awards ceremony. A choice few supporters picked up awards, and survivors were thanked with a clip package. I would've done a ootd, but I was on the "verge" all evening as my friends say lol. All in all it was a great night.
